Notte is the name of a series of these soft shorts made for the quiet hours, evenings at home, slow mornings, vacation days, and everything in between.
Each piece is cut by hand in my atelier, using Italian vintage cottons sourced one by one from old stockrooms and textile archives. No two are alike.
The shape is simple, but carefully considered and designed to feel effortless, wearable, and lived in. Whether at home, in the garden, or by the sea, each piece carries a sense of quiet craftsmanship, detailed with pastel yellow grosgrain piping and side pockets.
Subtle differences may appear in tone, texture, and detail reflecting the nature and soul of these vintage fabrics. These are not industrial garments, but rare, personal pieces, finished one by one, made to last in small quantities and released in drops. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

The LSJ studio makes handmade-to-order garments using rarely found vintage and reprinted antique textiles. Our practice is the opposite of next day delivery: a time- consuming and creative process, made by a small team of four people. We use traditional craftsmanship techniques that involve composing, cutting and sewing everything by hand, imbuing each piece with a sense of soul and beautiful finish lacking from today’s fashion system.
