True to tradition, this is my 2025 edition of antique holiday stockings - dare I say, the prettiest ones yet! For six years, each stocking has been made one by one in unique compositions, carefully patched and hand-stitched where time has worn the quilt thin.
Cut from a rare hand-stitched antique toile quilt from the Hudson Valley, every patch has been reinforced and stitched with contrasting silk thread - slowly, piece by piece, until the surface felt whole again and the composition just right. A process you simply cannot hurry and why good things, takes time.
Lined with cottage-rose baby corduroy quilted with 100% biodegradable wool wadding, the back features deep burgundy corduroy, finished with a handmade ribbon around the opening, crafted from the smallest offcuts from production.
In the spirit of tending to the light during the long northern winters, each stocking is made to bring a little extra warmth into the home. To hold small surprises, love notes, tangerines, and quiet treasures to be rediscovered year after year. Here in Scandinavia, where the season draws us indoors, these gestures become gentle rituals of care - or cheeky little acts that keep the heart and home soft.
No two alike.
