The LSJ studio makes handmade-to-order garments using rarely found vintage and reprinted antique textiles. Our practice is the opposite of next day delivery: a time- consuming and creative process, made by a small team of four people. We use traditional craftsmanship techniques that involve composing, cutting and sewing everything by hand, imbuing each piece with a sense of soul and beautiful finish lacking from today’s fashion system. Everything takes time, from sourcing vintage textiles and designing the piece to our exacting tailoring, precise quilting and handstitched piping. One piece alone can be finished with 11 metres of hand cut piping. We make jacket and waistcoats from our signature tailored styles, made with measurements to fit you. Our fabrics are very limited and only last as long as stock allows. Some have been sourced vintage while others are new replica versions of 18th century dressmaker prints usually allowing for 7-10 pieces each.
