We welcomed visitors to our first-ever showroom hosted in the inspiring home of our friend Plum, who has called Paris and this apartment, home for the last forty years. Plums cozy, cottage-like quarters served as the perfect compliment to the Cherished Objects + LSJ Studio universe. Lined from floor to ceiling with books and overflowing with curiosities, her quirky British stamp could be felt in every detail. Spending time in her whimsical world-- a world that is filled with joie de vivre and is animated by a cast of characters that are as free-spirited as she is-- we were reminded of the bohemian atmosphere of the Bloomsbury circle, who prized so dearly the mix of art and life in the same way we do. One of group's best known members, Virginia Woolf, certainly knew the effect that interior space has on the creative spirit when she said "I feel so intensely the delight of shutting oneself up in a little world of one's own, with pictures and music and everything beautiful." We truly couldn't have found a more fitting environment to present our entire selection of hand-crafted objects. Thank you to those of you who came and we hope to welcome you in Paris again soon!
